Discover Capricorn Coast set to spotlight Business and Investment in Livingstone
Business growth and investment attraction are set to shine across Livingstone Shire with the establishment of three new social media platforms dedicated to promoting the region.
‘Discover Capricorn Coast’ will launch today across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, creating a platform to showcase existing local business and highlight the opportunities available for prospective investors.
The new social media channels will cover a broad range of topics, including economic development projects, such as The Station precinct, e-scooter trial and placemaking, alongside artist and artisan profiles, small business features, grant and business opportunities, investment attraction information and more.
Mayor Andrew Ireland, Portfolio Holder of Economic Development, said the launch of Discover Capricorn Coast provides an opportunity to showcase our region and promote Livingstone Shire’s investment, business and lifestyle opportunities to a wider audience.
“As one of the fastest growing regional areas of Queensland, the Capricorn Coast region offers unrivalled investment and commercial opportunities, as well as premier lifestyle options, and is perfectly positioned to continue this growth into the future,” Mayor Ireland said.
“Council has a critical role to play as a facilitator of economic growth and we have a wonderful economic development team here at Council who are committed to supporting business development, retention and attraction, as well as investment attraction in Livingstone Shire.
“Discover Capricorn Coast will not only provide exposure for existing local businesses and artists, but also make it clear to national and global audiences that we welcome new investment, new business and new residents.
“There’s no doubt that Livingstone Shire has an abundance of opportunity for investment across multiple sectors and industries, with a lifestyle to envy and these new platforms will be essential in getting this message out.”
The Discover Capricorn Coast initiative aligns with the Livingstone Community Plan: Towards 2050, to target economic development in growth areas and major centres to attract businesses and employment.
