ROCKY, CAPRICORN COAST & GKI SET TO TAKE THE STAGE ON CHANNEL 7 – SAT 10TH AUGUST
Recently, over four action packed days, Capricorn Enterprise commissioned popular lifestyle show, Queensland Weekender to produce a full half hour episode broken into four short stories which will go to air on Channel 7 at 5:30pm on Saturday 10th August.
Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll said that a significant financial collaboration in partnership with several of our operators including Empire Apartment Hotel, Capricorn Caves, Great Keppel Island Hideaway, Salt Yeppoon and Vue Wine Bar & Restaurant has enabled us to showcase some of the charms and wonders our region has to offer and entice more visitors to plan their next holiday in Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast.
The segment will take viewers from their arrival in Rockhampton to explore accommodation, the iconic Fitzroy River and heritage buildings, before stepping into the Capricorn Caves to witness the impressive limestone caverns left by Mother Nature. From there, viewers will experience a trip to Yeppoon to visit the jewel in the crown of foreshore, the Lagoon, then inspire creativity on the Mural Art Trail before finishing the day will some spectacular fine dining. Finally, viewers will have the opportunity to discover our beautiful Southern Great Barrier Reef, taking the short trip to Great Keppel Island to enjoy bushwalking, water sports and topping off an amazing day with a cocktail and chill session at Great Keppel Island Hideaway.
“Through commissioning projects such as this, we are hooking the dreamers and creating interest in our unique experiences ensuring that we are positioned on their destination list,” said Ms Carroll.
“We commissioned a full half hour show so that it will be re-played during the Channel Seven’s Summer series of Queenslander Weekender. The program will also be promoted on-line, which can be viewed by anyone, anytime!”
