OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY!
Last week was @ Real Estate official 1st birthday. While it has been a tough 12 months for local businesses, things are defiantly looking bright for the future. We had the pleaser of sharing our first birthday with Expressions of Beautify also in James Street Yeppoon, and it was also Profitability Virtual Assistance's 2nd birthday. These are 3 great examples of Yeppoon locals doing a great job and work hard to make their business thrive.
Over the last 12 months there have also been over 23 new business open up on the Capricorn Coast with more coming soon. I have not been able to track down an official figure, however this is the number the T@ble Capricorn Coast Business Community come up with. This is great news for our local economy, as of June2014, 4.7 million Australians were employed in small businesses accounting for around 44.0 per cent of the work force.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my profession is meeting other local business owners, with part of the attraction being the diversity. Local Capricorn Coast businesses really are diverse, there is a surprising number of manufacturing and processing businesses, as well as several amazing inventors in the area.
Just goes to show, hard work, planning, and some intuitive goes a long way. Remember to support local businesses, to make our coastal community a strong community. Every dollar spend locally makes a huge difference as there is a multiplying effect, as small business grow, employ more people, and they in turn support more local businesses.
