YEPPOON FORESHORE AND TOWN CENTRE REVITALISATION PROJECT OPEN DAY
Council will be hosting a Community Engagement Open Day on Wednesday, 16 November 2016 for an update on the progress of the Yeppoon Foreshore and Town Centre Revitalisation Project.
Council encourages members of the community and interested parties to pop in to Salt from between 10am to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm to view the schematic designs and meet the Project Team.
The multi-award winning 'Keppel Kraken' water play area has been operating successfully since December 2015 when Stage 3 was completed. Council is currently constructing Stage 4, a Multi-Level Car Park in Queen Street as well as a signalised intersection at Queen and Barry Street, scheduled to be completed in December 2016. Significant street trees will be planted at Queen Street and Barry Street in line with the endorsed master plan. Stage 5 is currently in design phase and it is anticipated that construction will commence from February 2017.
